'n Bietjie meer oor die venue...

This unique venue situated in Montagu on R62 named after the small village of Cabrières d’Avignon in the south of France dates back to the 1800’s. It is situated en route to the beautiful Keisie and Koo Pass, overlooking the vines and edged by the majestic ‘Groot Hoek’ Mountain range in the Western Cape, South Africa. It is a beautiful wine making cellar with heavy oregan pine ceilings.

Intriguing tales about the colourful history of Montagu and its surrounds are yours to discover when you visit us. In fact, old vinification and fermentation tanks are still partly seen and form part of the magical ambience of this wedding venue.
Jean-Pierre Jordaan and his wife Jane Chambers started the restoration process of the building that now serves as the venue after a generation of dormancy.

The charming old Jordaan-family cellar has been lovingly restored adding space and style to its former glory, and creating an oasis where history meets luxury and comfort as well as magic. Their care and passion for this incredible place is reflected in every creation of every function and wedding.

Thus Cabrières was born…
